Our Church
A little bit about our church history and our services.
The Anglican Church of Australia is a Christian church and an autonomous province of the Anglican Communion. It is the second largest church in Australia, after the Roman Catholic Church. The first Church of England edifice was built in the colony of New South Wales in 1793.
The Priest in Charge is Fr Phillip Hardie, and our Hon. Assistants are Fr Arthur Savage and Fr Greg McGrory.
The Priest’s Warden is Mr Rob Paterson, The Peoples’ Wardens are Pat Bailey, and Sue Coppack.
We offer regular Anglican services in our beautiful air-conditioned church. The sanctuary windows come from All Saints Church Tugan and the Christ the King windows came from St Peter’s Church in Coolangatta. We are hoping to receive additional stained-glass windows soon!

St Peter & St Paul’s has a long history, and is in fact an amalgamation of several churches, and more recently, St Peter’s church in Coolangatta. Our beautiful, and inspirational stained-glass windows have been gifted from these churches, making our modern church a beautiful blend of old and new. You may have noticed our logo, which focuses on the beauty of the area, so close to the Tallebudgera Creek, and our rolling beaches. The original logo was painted by Kaye Whale Chapman, and has also been made into an embroidered banner, which can be seen in the church.
There is a complete history of our church, and the other churches in the Parish in the book: South to the Border, which is available at the office.
Our Parish Office operates:
Monday to Friday from 9am to 12noon.
