OUR NEWS – Changes at our Church

Due to more renovations in the Church many activities have been cancelled until further notice:

  • Wednesday Mass
  • Morning-tea will not be served.
  • Trading Table is also suspended.
  • No Singing Group or Friday Meditation sessions

Please be aware that construction/alterations are occurring in the church, so be careful where you walk, and obey our site  manager at all times.

Liturgical Assistants:

Liturgical Assistants are called to serve the Church of God as they work together with their priest. They lead public worship, some preach and teach the word of God, others assist at the Eucharist, share in pastoral and evangelistic work, and encourage others to participate in God’s mission to the world. If you feel called to serve in this capacity, please contact Fr Phillip.

The Coolamon Choir with Fr Greg, was a memorable performance due to the melodious voices of the choir. Thank you for this wonderful event, Fr Greg.

The proceeds were donated to the bush fire appeal.

We welcomed Bp John Roundhill to our church, and what a happy throng of people greeted him!  BP John will be returning to our church for Palm Sunday!

NEW PAINTINGS FOR THE CHURCH

Our new Church Hall nears completion and so we are concentrating on beautifying our Church.

Thank you to Christine and Kevin– our favourite artists, for guiding us as we created the new paintings of St Peter and St Paul.

THE CROSS has now been placed on our CHURCH ROOF

OUR MELBOURNE CUP CELEBRATIONS

We all had a wonderful time at our little gathering to celebrate the Melbourne Cup horse race. As you can see, fascinators were all the rage.

OUR CHURCH HALL: – We are slowly getting there.. as you can see, the roof is now on.. and the windows are going in! We are also renovating the Church…

Members of Parish Council inspect the progress so far!

The contract has been signed!

OUR OLD CHURCH HALL… now demolished

Our Office is open – Because of the Hall construction many group meetings will be postponed until the new hall is completed. Our car-park has been cut in half with a fence, temporarily, while the process takes place. The gate that is provided for access must not be used because the area is a building site with many safety hazards. Please park in the street, and nearby.

Wednesday Services – cancelled until further notice:

Services start at 9 a.m. each Wednesday morning in the church.

TRADING TABLE – suspended until further notice

You may have noticed our Trading Table outside the church every Sunday after services. It has been supported and organised by Enid for many years. We are now asking for volunteers to assist Enid in the sales, as well as the supply of hand-made goods, fruit/veggies from your gardens, and any other miscellaneous goods you would like to donate towards the church.

MEDITATION – suspended until further notice

Please join us every Friday morning for a beautiful meditation. We start at 9:00 am, for about 40 minutes. Everyone welcome!

SINGING GROUP – suspended until further notice

Come along and join in with our group to share hymns and enjoy music. Every Friday at 9.45 am.. for about an hour.

PLAYGROUP – suspended until further notice

We have offered a Playgroup for many years, but this year it will also be postponed for 2019 due to the demolition and rebuilding of our new church hall. We  be returning once the new Hall is built. Thank you to all our wonderful and dedicated volunteers and all the supportive Mums and Dads who have attended over the years. Please check back for further information, as our new hall begins to take shape!

We are always happy to offer baptisms and just this week received this lovely thank you note:

Thank you for holding our little loved ones Baptism. We truly loved our experience and felt so welcomed and accepted from the moment we walked into your beautiful church. We hope you enjoy the beautiful book that we donated to your congregation, it was hand delivered by the authors mother. Thanks be to God.
